A 5-Step Procurement Checklist for Business Telecom Gear — From Network Core to End-User Devices

I'm the office administrator for a mid-size company — about 200 employees across two offices. For sales and field service? Completely different. They need smartphones with good cameras, email sync, and battery that lasts a full day of GPS and calls. The 'best' phone for them is something like a current-gen midrange Android or iPhone — reliable but not overkill.

Step 5: Verify Vendor Compliance, Support, and Total Cost

What I verify now:

  • Invoicing capability: Can they provide itemized invoices with correct tax IDs and PO references? If not, move on.

One final honest note: I can only speak to mid-size B2B company procurement with predictable ordering patterns. If you're a large enterprise with global supply chains or a startup scaling at hypergrowth, the calculus might be different. Use what works from this list, ignore what doesn't, and always verify with your own team's requirements.
